We are competition cheer program for Elementary to Junior High school students within Oregon City. Competition Cheerleading is a rapidly growing sport with almost as many youth recreational programs as local competing high school programs. OCJC was established as a non-profit in 2017 taking the mat for the first time in January 2018. We have rapidly improved from our first year. Placing in the top 3 at state championships with 3 out of 4 teams in 2023. All of our coaching staff and board members are volunteers. We are one of the largest recreational cheer programs in the greater Portland area. We do this by allowing every person from K-8th grade within our community to join our program.
OCJC prepares our athletes for High School, to work as a team, to be disciplined and to better themselves. We typically will have to modify or change a routine every week to help improve our scores with the judges. This teaches the students to learn changes quickly, to practice at home, to be accountable, and learn to be flexible; all great life skills.
Thanks to our community supporting businesses and people like you, we are honored to have the opportunity open our registration to all children and tweens in the Oregon City area. Cheerleading is an expansive sport. Its a non-sponsored sport so there is no district funds that reduce costs. Parents have to pay 100% of all fees clear through High School.
